The offenders go by many names.

  • Vegetable Oil
  • Seed Oil
  • Canola
  • Crisco
  • Soybean Oil
  • Safflower Oil
  • Sunflower Oil
  • Rapeseed Oil
  • Grapeseed Oil
  • Corn Oil
  • Margarine
  • PUFA (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids)

These are fake, adulterated oils that are only possible with advanced industrialized techniques. Because they don’t exist in naturally oily substances like olives, they must go through several steps including high-heat, high pressure extraction with chemical solvents like hexane.

And, sadly, these oils are EVERYWHERE. Especially if you eat out at conventional restaurants.

They are used because they don’t spoil quickly, they stay liquid at lower temperatures, and they are easy to cook with. They are also very inexpensive.

And, most insidiously, their high profitability has allowed the manufacturers of these unhealthy oils to push a campaign of misinformation to confuse the public, and even undermine the training of our fellow healthcare professionals, by manipulating the science in their favor.

However, just because we CAN eat something doesn’t mean we SHOULD.

These oils are not poisonous enough to cause immediate harm. That would be too obvious. The inflammation they cause is mild in most people, but it adds up. The fact that they are in most conventional foods means that you are constantly being exposed, therefore you are constantly inflamed. It becomes your “new normal.”

These oils also contain chemicals that are very similar to hormones like estrogen. One regular fast food meal has enough estrogen precursors to be as strong as a single dose of birth control.

Nobody should eat that!

The symptoms keep adding up, and so do the oils themselves. Once they are digested and stocked away in your tissues, it takes a lot of work to fully metabolize them back out of your tissues. In fact, a half-life of 600 days means that only half of these fats are destroyed after nearly two years goes by. Then you have to wait another 600 days to get down to half of that amount (25%), and so on.

And – they keep causing inflammation the whole time they are in your tissues!

But here’s the trick – you can only get rid of them completely if you are able to avoid eating any more of these oils starting on day 1!

Otherwise, they keep adding up and your body keeps storing them away, resetting the clock for another two years on the new arrivals!

Why this Matters

In our clinical experience, as well as personal, we have seen that this type of inflammation is what most people complain about.

It’s the “water weight” trapped in that jiggly arm flab.

It’s the “muffin top” that won’t go away no matter how much cardio you do.

It’s the swollen ankles that come out of nowhere.
